Lead Preschool Early Educator

Overview

Frog&Toad is a play and nature based Early Education Program, and we are seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to help us grow along that path. Our program provides engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum with a focus on our natural environment. We work with the Vermont Early Learning Standards, Teaching Strategies Gold, ASQ's, and have Creative Curriculum available to guide curriculum development as needed.

An on-site Curriculum Coach is available to assist staff with building fun, engaging, and meaningful curriculum and with assessment progress to guide future teaching.

• Uphold state and school policies; maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Deliver approved curriculum; communicate positively and professionally with families and co-workers.
• Provide loving care to children in the program.
• Complete child observations and developmental profiles; create age-appropriate curriculum.

• Meet state requirements for the Lead Teacher position as outlined by the Child Development Division; willingness to pursue qualifications and/or obtain a variance if needed.
• Strong desire to make a difference for children, families, and the community.
• Hardworking, dependable, team-oriented, and willing to advance academically as training is an annual state requirement.

This position is full-time and pays $24.50 – $31.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly on Wednesday. Pay range varies based on education, credentials, and licensing in ECE/ECSE as applicable.

• Vacation: one week paid after the first year of service.
• Sick Time: paid after probationary period.
• Vision and Dental: coverage after 90 days; option to decline with $0.25 increase in hourly wage.
• Medical Savings Plan and Simple IRA eligibility after 2 years of service.
• Holidays: eight paid holidays per year.
• Professional Development: up to 15 paid hours per year.
• Paid Volunteer Time: 2 paid days per year.

Experience with large groups of children is advantageous.
