You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those who are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via the myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule. When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
Active engagement by picking up and working shifts is required (minimum four hours every 4 weeks). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts you do not respond, your employment may be terminated. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment will be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it are critical to your success in this role. After a job offer, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. The myTime app is used to pick up shifts those you desire to work.
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

What the Role TeachesThis role can provide you with the skills and experience of:

- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to assist with their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about brand launches, store activities and events.
- Explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with all fulfillment services.
- Explain how to use Wallet and other Target App features.
- Process returns according to policy, consulting with leaders as needed.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience as needed.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and related compliance.
- Support Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
- Other duties as needed by business needs.
