As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), you contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Your presence at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas helps mitigate theft and enhances the overall shopping experience.

• Maintain a professional appearance, wearing the designated dress standards, radio, and earpiece.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of your surroundings.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting, promoting a sense of control and security.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Command Presence: exhibit confidence, positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Knowledge and Communication: master top shortage areas, support theft‑reduction programs, communicate prevention information during store rallies, and conduct bag/ package checks on associates.
• Support and Guidance: train associates on shortage‑reduction programs and processes, model safety as a top priority, and address unsafe practices promptly.
• Report theft incidents and suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain confidentiality, review and analyze business trends, and make disciplined decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills that foster productive business relationships.

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations (preferred).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and visually monitor the store environment for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills with customers and co‑workers.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
