Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Orthopedics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Orthopedics/Med-Surg unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience, and Charge RN capability on night shifts.

Job Details

• 29-bed orthopedic and medical-surgical unit serving adult through geriatric patients,

• High-volume cases include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties,

• Moderate-volume cases include other surgical procedures, inpatient stays, and 24-hour observation patients,

• Telemetry monitoring available on the unit,

• On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the floor,

•

Schedule:

3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,

• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday),

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Floating required as needed,

• RNs may be assigned Charge RN duties as needed,

• Epic EMR experience is mandatory,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Previous travel nursing experience required,

• Charge RN experience required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• Driver's license required for consideration,

• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed - candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility,

• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences,

• 13-week contract assignment
