Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)

• No call responsibilities

• Float required as needed to other units or Cone Health campuses

• Minimum 2 years experience required

• Previous travel experience REQUIRED

• Charge RN experience REQUIRED

• BLS certification required

• EPIC charting system experience REQUIRED

• Must pass mandatory EKG exam (Pass/Fail) during compliance - 2 attempts allowed

• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients

• Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic patients as well as medical surgical patients

• Work with telemetry monitoring capabilities

• Handle high volume patient populations including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties

• Manage moderate volume populations with other surgical procedures and observation patients

• Work with special equipment including CPMs, Buck's Traction, neck and back braces

• Complete 24 hours of orientation and 2-4 hours of non-billable modules

• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

• Compliance deadline of 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

This medical center features a 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers specialized orthopedic services with an on-unit physical therapy gym, allowing patients to receive rehabilitation without leaving the unit. The department handles a diverse patient population and maintains telemetry monitoring capabilities. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
