Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)

• No call responsibilities

• Float required as needed to other units or Cone Health campuses

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

• Previous travel experience required

• Charge RN experience required

• BLS certification required

• Epic charting system experience required

• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients required

• Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients

• 24-hour orientation provided

• Telemetry monitoring experience required

• Experience with total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and various surgical procedures

• Must complete compliance file by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

• Local radius restriction of 50 miles

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit features telemetry monitoring capabilities and includes an on-unit physical therapy gym that allows patients to receive adequate rehabilitation without leaving the unit. The facility maintains a daily census of 28 patients and offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

The unit also accommodates emergency department patients and provides specialized equipment such as CPMs, Buck's traction, and various orthopedic braces.
