Role DescriptionThe Hospital VQI (Vascular Quality Initiative) Registry Data Abstractor will perform accurate data abstraction and entry for the VQI Registry. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, extracting relevant clinical data, and ensuring information is correctly entered into the designated registry system. Communication with clinical team members or hospital staff may be required to validate data. This is a contract position based REMOTELY and has flexible hours within given monthly deadlines.
This initial position is part-time but additional opportunities will be available.
- Strong expertise in data abstraction and collection, particularly for hospital quality measures and registries, including at least 3 years of experience with the VQI registry notably the EVAR/TEVAR modules.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records review, and healthcare documentation.
- Attention to detail and advanced analytical skills to ensure accuracy in data entry and quality compliance.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with hospital staff and healthcare teams.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and registry-specific software.
- Relevant certifications in healthcare data abstraction or quality improvement are a plus.
