Position: Housekeeper 10:30a-6:30p M-F

POSITION TYPE: Full time position.

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for accomplishing and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.

Provide general cleaning and waste removal in resident rooms and all common areas daily.

Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; make regular inspections of building areas.

Provide services in the Laundry area as required.

Report all unusual conditions, behaviors, and/or resident concerns to the appropriate management/supervisory staff in a timely manner.

Respond and react in a kind, polite, and professional manner with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.

May work independently or assist others in cleaning other facilities or residences of the organization.

Adhere to all facility and departmental fire, disaster, threat, and emergency procedures.

Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures in performing job responsibilities.

Attend scheduled organizational and/or departmental training sessions and in-services.

Demonstrate interest and commitment to working with a diverse senior population.

Maintain a caring, compassionate, and understanding relationship with residents by addressing questions and concerns.

Dress professionally according to the company's dress code.

Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant, using good judgment and ethical conduct.

Perform job duties and work independently, even with frequent interruptions.

Read, write, and speak English in a professional manner.

Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Maintain reliable on-site attendance and work mandatory days and overtime as needed.

Meet the physical demands and work environment requirements of the position.

Follow procedures diligently.

Perform other duties as needed that are consistent with the position's nature.

Education and/or Experience:

- One or more years of experience in cleaning and building care preferred.

- One or more years of experience in healthcare or skilled nursing preferred.
