Cluver Garden School is a dynamic, tuition-free K-12 public charter school located in Burlington, North Carolina. Established in 2001, we serve a diverse community of over 960 students from Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Orange, and Wake counties. • In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment.
• Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback where applicable.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including during lunch, recess, and transitions.
• Report any incidents or issues to school administration promptly.

• Previous experience in a teaching or educational
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings and grade levels.

• Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
