Kernodle Clinic, part of Duke Health's community-based network, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our Walk-In Clinic in Burlington, North Carolina. This role offers excellent work-life balance while allowing physicians to practice in a patient-focused clinic that has been a cornerstone of healthcare in the Burlington community for many years.
The Walk-In Clinic provides timely access to high-quality urgent and primary care in a collegial, team-based environment.
Practice Highlights- 3-day workweek
- No call responsibilities
- Join a stable team of 4 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers
- Experience in both urgent care and primary care required
- Abridge AI Scribe support
- On-site laboratory and x-ray services
- Clinic located adjacent to Alamance Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department
- Serves patients ages 3 and older
- Office hours
- Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Sunday: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Six exam rooms and one procedure room
- Strong clinical support including RNs, CMAs, and dedicated reception staff
- Balanced patient mix across commercial, managed care, Medicare, workers' compensation, and Medicaid
- Duke Health's largest community-based multi-specialty practice
- More than 58 physicians and 47 advanced practice providers across 15 specialties
- Affiliated with Duke University Health System since 2013
- Serving the Burlington community for 75 years

Kernodle Clinic offers a competitive compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity. Salary and Duke faculty title are commensurate with training, experience, and the focus of the role. Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Experience in urgent care and primary care
