Position: Family Medicine Physician, Walk-In Clinic, Burlington, NC - 3 day work week!

Overview

Kernodle Clinic's Walk-In Clinic in Burlington, NC, is seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician to join their team of four physicians and two mid-level providers. This opportunity offers the chance to become part of a respected clinic with a strong commitment to serving the community. The position ensures an excellent work-life balance while allowing the physician to contribute to a patient-focused clinic that has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Burlington for many years.

Position

Details
  • Schedule: Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM;
    Saturday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM;
    Sunday, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
  • Clinic Setup: Six exam rooms, one procedure room, and two physician offices.
  • Support Staff: Two receptionists, two RNs, and four CMAs.
  • Patient Demographics: Payor mix includes 33% BCBS, 28% Managed Care, 21% Medicare, 6% Workers Comp, and 5% Medicaid.
  • Patient Age Range: Serves patients aged 3 and older.
  • Location: Located next to Alamance Regional Medical Center’s emergency department.
  • Onsite Resources: Access to onsite lab and x-ray facilities for convenient patient care.
Responsibilities and Schedule
  • The physician should be experienced in both urgent and primary care.
  • Work-Life Balance: No call responsibilities; typically, physicians work two to three days per week with weekend rotation, offering a balanced lifestyle.
