Full Time for Busy Multi-Specialist Clinic, located in Burlington, NC. Kernodle Clinic is a respected and progressive multi-specialty group practice with Clinics in Burlington, Mebane and Elon. Kernodle Clinic is a multi-specialty practice with approximately 100 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers located just off I-40/I-85. We are currently looking for a patient-focused individual to fill a Physician Assistant position within our Cardiology Department. While experience is preferred, we welcome new graduates as well. All candidates must have graduated from an accredited PA program and hold a current licensure/certification to practice as a PA. They must also demonstrate the ability to exercise the highest degree of professional judgment under the supervision of a licensed physician.
BLS certification is required for this position.

Responsibilities- When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, uses double identifiers to ensure right patient every time.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; record the normal and abnormal data for review by the physician.
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patient s record in EPIC; write progress notes; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
- Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
- Carry out therapeutic procedures such as wound suturing and dressing changes; monitor progress of patients, report progress to supervising physician, and maintain record of each patient s progress.
- Goes to Alamance Regional Medical Center to do hospital consultations.
- Graduate from an accredited PA program with current licensure/certification to practice as a PA.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to exercise the highest degree of professional judgment under supervision of a licensed physician.
- Experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
