The City of Burlington's Recreation & Parks Department seeks part-time After school Counselors to ensure participant safety, provide engaging activities, and support daily program operations. Counselors must demonstrate positive leadership, maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, and handle behavioral conflicts consistently and fairly. Adherence to City safety policies is essential, with a focus on creating a fun and secure environment for all.

  Design and guide fun, structured games and activities customized for children ages 5–14.
• Create a Safe & Fun Space: Prioritize participant safety while fostering an energetic and inclusive environment.

  Work closely with directors and teammates to keep the program space clean, organized, and welcoming.

• Must be 16 years of age or older.

• Previous experience working with children.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
