Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Burlington, NJ
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast‑paced tech and media location, you will monitor assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security‑related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with onsite teams, and deliver strong customer service while supporting daily operations.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control processes, and other security-related duties, and/or emergency response activities when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and unusual activity through established communication and documentation channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter at a technology location to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and coordinate with onsite personnel and/or public responders according to post orders.
  • Complete required logs and reports, including incident documentation, patrol activity notes, and shift turnover updates, in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
