Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Burlington, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in accounts receivable and general accounting practices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining efficient accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts receivable processes, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.

- Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.

- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

- Handle bank reconciliations to verify balances and resolve any variances.

- Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial operations.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.

- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes for enhanced efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable and general accounting.

- Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and journal entries.

- Strong ability to perform account and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.

- Solid understanding of general ledger functions and financial reporting.

- Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments.
