A senior level software engineer with capabilities in core Java technologies, SQL, and Agile methodology in a multi-threaded environment.

• B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field required; M.S. degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience in core and enterprise Java, including collections API, concurrency, multithreading, JDBC and web services.
• Minimum of 8 years experience designing and developing software solutions in a highly transactional, concurrent, event‑driven system; financial trading systems experience is a huge plus.
• Extensive experience in RDBMS (Oracle and SQL Server) with solid understanding of transactional database intricacies and expertise in writing complex, high‑performing SQL.
• Cloud native application development experience on at least one cloud native platform, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases.
• UI development experience in C#, React, or JavaScript preferred.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Able to write clean, maintainable code with extensive unit test coverage.
• Able to contribute to complex design specifications in consultation with senior staff.
• Able to work on medium to large projects independently and on complex tasks with minimal oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment.
• Prior experience troubleshooting and fixing database and application performance issues preferred.
• Great understanding of Agile development methodology and software development practices and principles.

$90,000 – $157,500 annual, depending on location.
