Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Stocking
In this role, you will work closely with store employees and outside vendors to ensure the finest variety of wines, beers, and spirits are available on our shelves for customers throughout the day. You will be responsible for checking accuracy and quality of deliveries, to ensure the products are processed correctly and meet Wegmans high standards. Whatwill I do?
- Build relationships with and provide incredible service to vendors and internal customers
- Verify all incoming deliveries by ensuring the quantity and type of products received are correct and match invoices
- Unload deliveries, stock and replenish shelves and displays, rotate product
- Maintain the overall appearance of the department and backroom
- Assist departments in tracking and processing vendor credits and keep records of billing, credits, transfers, inventory, damages and variances

Work EnvironmentThe physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, frequent lifting, shelving of product, pushing/pulling a hand truck, climbing, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers. The average weight range of items lifted is 5–40 pounds frequently with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally.
You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors and may involve exposure to cold (33–55 degrees) temperatures. Basic tools and equipment used include box cutter, labels, hand truck, power industrial truck, stock picker, stools, and ladders.
Customer service/ receiving experience in a food service, grocery or retail setting. Experience ordering products and controlling inventory.
