Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop Manager

Fabrication is expanding - new square footage, major equipment upgrades, laser measuring and cutting technology coming online, and increased production capacity.

We need a Shop Manager who can run a professional fabrication operation - not just keep the lights on.

This role is the bridge between our field customers and our production floor.

• 5+ years sheet metal trade experience
• Proven leadership experience managing crews
• Strong layout and fabrication knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret plans/specs
• Professional presence - you will interact directly with contractors
• Proficient with Computer and Software
• Chinese/Cantonese-speaking is a Plus！

• Front-facing communication with contractors and field teams
• Translate field requests into clear shop production direction
• Prioritize work based on install schedules and urgency
• Assign labor hours efficiently to maximize throughput
• Maintain production schedules and deadlines
• Oversee quality control and fabrication accuracy
• Manage shop workflow and daily production meetings
• Enforce safety standards and shop organization
• Train and develop junior fabricators
• Coordinate with purchasing and inventory to avoid production delays

You must be able to balance speed, accuracy, and customer expectations - without losing control of the floor.
