We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes within a manufacturing environment. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and the ability to handle complex financial tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including general ledger and bank accounts, to maintain financial accuracy.
- Manage journal entries and adjustments to support accurate month-end close processes.
- Assist in preparing 10K and 10Q filings, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze and organize financial data.
- Support financial reporting activities by providing detailed documentation and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for audit purposes.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial projects as needed.
Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with 10K and 10Q filings.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
