This internship is offered through the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate STEM program. Preference will be given to applicants who are Massachusetts residents.

Internship Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student for a Summer 2025 internship. This position offers hands‑on experience in turbo machinery design and applications, contributing to various clean energy projects aimed at reducing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on Clean Energy Projects:
    Engage in projects focused on fuel efficiency improvements.
  • Turbo machinery Design and Analysis:
    Utilize AxSTREAM® software to design, analyze, and optimize turbo machinery components, enhancing performance and sustainability.
  • Research and Development Support:
    Assist in conducting studies and simulations related to aero‑thermodynamic and mechanical aspects of turbo machinery systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical design principles.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools, we will train you on AxSTREAM®.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
