PGD Engineer

PGD‑Engineer (Power Generation & Delivery Engineer) based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). You would need to have a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. You will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes. You will report to the Onsite Manager.

• Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologies
• Develop fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists
• Use AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to combine information
• Be a primary technical liaison between Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters
• Complete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general goals, and limitations
• Work with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility to regarding technical matters about individual projects

• Support component failure rate analysis and development of work plans
• Become a subject matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturer
• Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites
• Assist field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues
• Help develop countermeasures for recurring issues
• Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in other engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems
• 6+ years of engineering experience
• Utility‑scale inverter and power electronics experience
• And ability to work with operations teams
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
• 2 years of experience with solar inverters
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
• Previous experience in operations support or control center environments

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
