Electrical Estimator

Overview

Growing established electrical contracting firm located in Woburn, MA that specializes in commercial electric and HVAC control wiring is actively seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team! The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Manage and process all new incoming bid opportunities to ensure timely and accurate bids.
• Prepare takeoffs, material quotes, generate cost projections reports, and maintain records on each prospective project.
• Draft customer proposals and interface with project managers for change orders pricing.
• Summarize and communicate information for project management and field technicians.
• Proficient in computer aided estimating software, Conest a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to correspond with owners, salespeople, and colleagues in a professional manner.
• Must have strong computer skills and familiar with general Microsoft applications.
• Must be proficient reading blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.
• Must be a team player and willing to help in all aspects of the organization to ensure success.

• Five to seven years working as a senior or junior electrical estimator position.
• Proven track record as a successful estimator.
• Knowledge or familiarity with all aspects of electrical industry with HVAC controls being advantageous.

• Trade license and/or work experience in the electrical field.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in English both verbal and written.

Salary requirements will be commensurate with experience.
