About The Role
The Product Engineer bridges the gap between manufacturing processes and the final products, ensuring thermal product precision and quality. This hands‑on role contributes to design, development, assembly, and testing of full thermal management products, particularly liquid cooling loops for data center applications.
Responsibilities- Product Design, Assembly & Test:
- Design, build, and test liquid cooling loops and thermal systems.
- Work with customers to understand cooling loop requirements and review designs.
- Develop and execute performance and reliability testing for finished thermal management products.
- Provide DFM feedback on component design and fabrication.
- Develop assembly jigs, test automation rigs, and packaging solutions.
- Analyze test results to validate product specifications and identify improvement areas.
- Component & Process Definition:
- Source and evaluate commercial components (e.g., fittings, tubing, quick disconnects).
- Develop and refine manufacturing methods such as pipe bending and brazing.
- Map the supply chain to identify bottlenecks and partnership opportunities.
- Document SOPs for assembly, automated testing, and finishing.
- Engineering Support:
- Provide technical support during ramp‑up of new product lines.
- Manage BOMs and support change control processes for thermal assemblies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 3‑5 years of engineering experience in IT, Server, high‑power computing, or power electronics.
- Experience with thermal management systems, especially liquid cooling loop design and assembly.
- Hands‑on capability in assembly, testing, and process documentation.
- Knowledge of component sourcing and vendor management for mechanical and fluid components.
- Excellent technical communication skills for documenting procedures and conveying information.
- Experience in a start‑up or fast‑paced product development environment.
- Direct experience with manufacturing processes, DFM, and quality control systems.
- Pay Range: $85,000‑105,000, dependent on experience, qualifications, and education level.
This position requires access to information subject to U.S. export control laws under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment is conditioned on authorization to receive controlled items without sponsorship for an export license.
