Summer Farm Educator Job at Natick Community Organic Farm in Natick, Massachusetts – 2020

The Natick Community Organic Farm is a nonprofit, certified-organic farm. They provide productive open space, farm products, and hands-on education for all ages, year-round. The Natick Community Organic Farm is about farming in the public eye. Visitors to the farm learn what food looks like before it gets processed, refined, or packaged. We demonstrate how to take good care of the land and the animals, and we’re excited to teach the next generation about stewardship, ecology, and personal responsibility.

Summer Farm Educator Job:

Ever introduce a curious kid to a curious pig? Collect eggs with a gaggle of grade-schoolers? Explore the fields and flowers with a troop of ten-year-olds? If you have or think these sorts of things sound like fun, theNatick Community Organic Farmis looking for eager and energetic educators to carry out our mission to connect kids to food through fun work.

Join us for 10 weeks this summer where every day you can expect to teach something, learn something, and have fun doing it. If you are passionate about kids, food, the future, the outdoors, and can even envision merging them all together into a veritable whirlwind of agricultural adventure, then we want to talk to you! Dates & Info:

  • June 10th through August 20th. Sessions run Monday through Thursday.
  • Program times are 9 – 4 for younger aged programs and 8:30 – 4:30 for older aged programs
  • Hiring decisions by March 31
  • Paid week of training, CPR/First Aid class offered
  • Compensation at $14 an hour
  • Potential to extend hours by committing to our Public School Year Programs and more!
