Engineering Technician

Job description:

The position will support the Engineering department in the design, development, testing, and manufacture of mechanical devices, including product and processes. They will produce CAD models, drawings, record, analyze data, perform calculations, and report their findings in a timely fashion. Position will require hands-on work testing in the R&D Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Solid Works to design and produce drawings to industry standards.
• Support engineering team to meet project deliverables.
• Apply engineering principles and standards to develop production drawings.
• Hands-on shop work performing tests and documenting results.
• Producing/writing technical reports.
• Work comfortably and safely in a shop atmosphere.
• R&D Manufacturing processes and Mechanical components.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Mechanical Engineering diploma or degree.
• Candidate will have 1-5 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of some relevant manufacturing processes and/or mechanical components Fluent in Solid-Works and MS Office.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Works well under tight deadlines and with minimal supervisor.
• Strong Organizational skills.
