CPC Pumps is looking for a talented engineering co-op student to join our team to fill the existing role of Engineering Intern (May to August; Approximately 4 Month).
Purpose
The Mechanical Designer Intern is responsible to create designs and technical drawings for rotating machinery and equipment. They will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to create and improve product designs and to develop drawings for a wide variety of machines, including pumps and skids.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare engineering designs and drawings of machined components, welded fabrications, pipe layouts and full assemblies of pumps in both Solid Works & AutoCADReview and update pump layouts, engineering documents and drawings for conformity and errorsReview contract requirements and customer specifications to ensure compliance with purchase order, industry standards and applicable regulatory requirementsReview pump design and sub-components to ensure proper fit and design along with compliance with customer specificationsTo succeed, you will need
Qualification Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well with othersWell organized and able to prioritize tasksAttention to detail is a mustProven self-starter with strong work ethic, high energy, and positive attitudeCommitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environmentSolid Works or equivalent CAD softwareAutoCAD for 2D sketchingStrong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skillsEducation and/or Experience
