CIMCO is looking to hire a Package Engineer Co-op student on a 16 month term starting May 2026. This position will be based out of our Burlington office.

Role Responsibilities- Contribute to mechanical design aspects of the various types of refrigeration systems
- Prepare 3D Solid Works model and flow diagram in AutoCAD of system, based on known dimensional constraints, jobsite and customer requirements
- Assist with design and operating conditions for equipment to be used in refrigeration systems
- Confirm component selections: pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, control valves
- Design routes and piping to refrigeration standards while permitting ease of manufacturing/servicing
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and instructions
- Prepare bill of material and issue material requisitions to purchasing department with SAP software
- Liaise multiple CIMCO departments, customers, and suppliers
- Participate in Continuous Improvement /Lean Manufacturing meetings
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelors of mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Experience using CAD 2D and 3D design software such as;
AutoCAD, Solidworks - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
