Job Details
This position is designed for new engineering grads. You will be based on project sites in a variety of market-segments including, but not limited to, water treatment, heavy industrial, industrial process, food and beverage, and civil.
On the day to day, you will be responsible for a defined portion of a project and accountable for establishing effective working relationships with clients and managing the flow of information and documents between Alberici and the client. You will maintain accurate documents for the project including schedule, as-builts, submittals, logs, test results, etc. and work closely with the Superintendent and subcontractors to plan and coordinate upcoming work and obtain, track and expedite the delivery of equipment and materials to the site.
Responsibilities- Maintain and manage the Request for Information (RFI) process, daily reports, drawings and submittal logs
- Obtain and verify all shop drawings as assigned
- Maintain documents that record the project as it was constructed (e.g., as-builts)
- Submit the as-builts to the client/client’s agent upon completion of the project
- Maintain proper safety records
- Coordinate support functions, including project start-up, with internal and external team members
- Manage the change order and billings process and direct meetings
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with subcontractors
- Evaluate the performance of the subcontractors at the conclusion of the project
- Create and engage in relationships with key union contacts
- Understand and assist in the application of buy-out procedures
- BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field and 0-3 years experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, clients, supervisors, and staff
- Highly motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
