What you’ll be doing

We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Youth Mentor. This role involves working closely with young people, providing guidance, mentorship, and partaking in organized activities that promote personal development and community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with young people in a positive and supportive manner, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Act as a mentor and role model, offering guidance, advice, and support to young participants.
  • Facilitate a small group with other mentors.
  • Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and positive social interaction among youth through games, lessons and in small groups.
  • Uphold and promote the organization's values, policies, and goals while interacting with youth and other volunteers.

  • Passion for working with young people and a genuine interest in their development.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate to and engage with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude.
