Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a CA license, ACLS, and scrub experience for a 13-week hospital assignment with weekend requirements.

Job Details

• Position located in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital,

• Shift consists of four 10-hour day or evening shifts with various start times,

• Weekend shifts are required,

• Patient population includes orthopedic, vascular, and robotic surgery cases,

• Scrub experience is required in addition to circulating duties,

• Epic EMR experience is preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration,

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through AHA required,

• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience with orthopedics, vascular, and robotic surgery required,

• Demonstrated scrub experience in the OR is required,

• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred,

• Must be able to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing,

• All certifications must be active and in hand at the time of consideration,

• Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessment, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of comprehensive OR nursing care,

• Role involves patient and family education and transitions of care in a diverse, acute care setting,

• Modules will be completed during orientation and are delivered via e-learning,

• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates,

• Local candidates are accepted at a local rate,

• Only one holiday will be approved for requested time off,
