Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Burlingame, CA office
What You Will Do- Document Drafting & Production
:
Draft motions, pleadings (ex parte declarations, stipulations, proposed orders, notices), portions of mediation briefs, correspondence, and discovery documents; assist with document production, including document summaries, and formatting filings (TOA/TOC, citations, red actions, and service). - Client Interaction
:
Communicate with clients as directed; assist with client intakes, engagement letters, and participate in meetings. - Calendar & Deadline Management
:
Use the calendar system; set reminders, calculate and track deadlines, and assist with scheduling for appearances and case-related meetings. - File & Document Management
:
Maintain and organize case files; assist with opening/closing files, document productions and summaries, and updates. - Preparation for Legal Proceedings
:
Support preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials—including binder creation, exhibit organization, and logistics coordination. - Legal Support Tasks
:
Assist attorneys with pleadings, motions, discovery, and e-filing; conduct document review/summaries and legal research. - Discovery Support
:
Deadline management, drafting, reviewing, and assistance with expert discovery, and depositions. Subpoena documents and run property/person profile searches. - Other Duties
:
Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and assist with other responsibilities as assigned.
- 2+ years of litigation experience.
- Paralegal Certification.
- Extensive experience with calendaring deadlines and dates.
- Stellar drafting and writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis Nexis).
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and be proactive.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Trust & Estate & Civil litigation experience.
- Associate’s degree.
Target Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience and training, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
