Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with behavioral health experience for an acute care setting in California, requiring an active OT license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
• Work in an acute care setting specializing in behavioral health
• Occupational Therapy department focused on behavioral health patient population
• Day shift schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Epic EMR is used; prior experience is preferred
• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs for individuals with disabilities or developmental delays focusing on vocational, homemaking, and independent living skills
• Participation in e-learning modules during orientation is required
• Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday time off will be approved during the assignment
• Candidates must be willing to go for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of consideration
• 50-mile radius rule applies for travel eligibility
• Locals are accepted at the local pay rate
• Epic charting experience is preferred
Requirements
• Active CA OT license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent behavioral health experience as an OT
• Must provide 7 years of work history for verification
• License required if applicable
