Seasonal Part-time Boys Golf Assistant Coach
. The Boys Golf Assistant Coach is responsible for the oversight of athletic training, strength and conditioning workouts, and providing technical support and training to athletes, as appropriate to the sport. Coaches have responsibilities not only to the students under their supervision, but also to the parents, the school, and the community.

• Exhibits and mentors scholar-athletes in good sportsmanship and fair play
• Attends mandatory coaches’ meetings
• Monitors the conduct of scholar-athletes during practices and games
• Provides a safe environment for scholar-athletes by checking the playing area and equipment before each practice and game/competition
• Prevents injuries through thoughtful, balanced workouts
• Instructs scholar-athletes in the basic rules and fundamentals of the sport
• Assists in implementing training programs to develop athletes in the sport
• Completes tasks delegated by the Head Coach and/or Athletics Department
• Upholds Crystal’s core values
• Fosters an equitable and inclusive team environment

• Travel to and from competitions in the Bay Area

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

• One year of minimum related experience is preferred
• Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (American Red Cross/American Heart Association)
• Golf playing and coaching experience (2+ years preferred)
• General knowledge of best practices in interscholastic athletics and golf

• Able to work in a dynamic environment with varying challenges, deadlines, and contacts
• Works in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Physical activities may require exerting heavy effort, including lifting up to 20-50 pounds
• Able to drive a 9-seat school van (valid driver’s license in good standing required)
