CDL Dispatcher Nighttime Job Description

Compensation: $37,000 - $41,000 annually DOE Job type:
Full-time, year round

Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate routes based on business needs, traffic patterns, and driver availability.

Monitor driver locations and delivery progress using GPS and dispatch software.

Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates.

Update sheets with accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, and customer interactions.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

Respond to emergency calls and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate delays or breakdowns.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or logistics certification preferred.

Proven experience as a dispatcher in the trucking or logistics industry.

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and geographic routing.

Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
