Job Description
We are looking for a shop mechanic to maintain and repair trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities- Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all trucks and trailer equipment.
- Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections, diagnostic tests and routine maintenance.
- Perform all preventive maintenance and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Ability to diagnose all equipment fleet without supervision; ability to read, follow, understand schematic diagrams across a variety of component systems and equipment.
- Maintain paperwork documentation of service repair orders in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis as well as documentation of labor.
- Operate vehicles/equipment in a safely manner.
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Clean and organize tools used for repair and related equipment
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Identify and communicate the need of parts for inventory
- Proven mechanic experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- English literacy
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
- Preferred 2 years minimum
- Repair, Maintenance & Installation Occupations
- Driver's License (Required)
- 25% (Preferred)
