- line cooks are the heart of the kitchen – responsible for making damn good food from scratch in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
- fry cook: master the fry station, ensuring fried items are cooked to the right crispiness and flavor.
- grill cook: operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and grilling taco ingredients to perfection.
- saute cook: manage the sauté station to create flavorful, properly cooked dishes.
- steam cook: use steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming with proper texture and flavor.
- taco: assemble and build each taco to order, meeting our high standards and guests’ expectations.
- cooking & prep: prepare and cook ingredients on grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to torchy’s recipes and standards.
- quality control: monitor the quality and presentation of each dish to ensure it meets damn good standards before it reaches the guest.
- cleanliness & organization: maintain a clean, organized work station and uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
- team collaboration: work with boh team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation for a smooth operation.
- inventory management: assist with stocking and organizing ingredients; prepare kitchen for service.
- efficiency: work with urgency during busy periods while preserving quality and presentation.
- must meet state and local requirements for food handler’s certification.
- certification(s) must be obtained by your first day or within the timeline required by your location.
