Nursing Professional Development Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned.
• Assists with preceptor training, policy development, and budget planning.
• Collaborates with nursing units' professional governance councils to identify needs and guide projects.
• Guides and mentors nursing staff.
• Facilitates and coordinates continuing education opportunities for nursing employees.
• Identifies nursing education needs through formal and informal assessments.
• Ensures appropriate education is offered based on needs assessment data.
• Collaborates with other department educators to develop educational programs.
• Utilizes principles of adult learning in program design.
• Teaches classes within the level of expertise.
• Functions as a Nurse Planner for the CNE Provider Unit.
• Adheres to accrediting body criteria in all CNE educational activities.
• Identifies needs for online education, designs presentations, writes test questions, and manages online learning modules.

• Bachelor's of Nursing (Required)
• Master's of Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
