Home Location: 12601 South Freeway. suite 110, Burleson, Texas 76028 (This position will float across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care locations)

Works hours:
Full-Time, 3-12-hour shifts a week, 7:45 AM - 8:15 PM

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull and spine
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program;
  Certified or Registered Medical Assistant in lieu of the MA program required
• Successful completion of a CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care
• 6 Months previous x-ray experience or completion of an internal THR LMRT externship training program in lieu of experience
• 6 Months previous health care facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care
• CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care required
• 6 months previous experience as licensed LMRT preferred
• Previous experience with electronic health records, straight-arm x-ray and orthopedic experience preferred
• LMRT issued by the TMB with specialties in chest, extremities, skull, and spine upon hire
• Medical Assistant Certified or registered in lieu of MA education program, or CHCP externship at Breeze upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years and required prior to providing independent patient care (within 30 days of hire)
• THR Urine Drug Collector training maintained every 5 years and required prior to providing independent care (within 30 days of hire)

It is the role of the Concierge to guide consumers and their "secondary guests" through the entire urgent care visit to enhance the consumer experience by maximizing throughput and delivering clinical excellence. The Concierge is responsible for a variety of clinical functions, including but not limited to assisting the provider with care and treatment, laboratory testing, x-ray examinations, and other duties.

The Concierge also performs patient registration, collection of payments, rooming, and patient discharge. All Concierges are expected to maintain competency and perform in all assigned positions on a rotating basis. This position is a vital part of the urgent care team that works under the direction of the Site Manager and works closely with the provider and other clinical staff.

Must demonstrate discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision-making; and a customer service attitude.

• Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow.
• Measures and documents vitals and communicates the data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level.
• Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for provider review.
• Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or SOPs, including venipuncture with competency check-off.
• Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate verification workflow.
• Assists provider with procedures, maintains sterile field, and supports ortho-related care and equipment.
• Performs diagnostic x-rays and documents completion of radiology examinations within licensed scope; ensures images have a report in the medical record and are transferred for overread as applicable.
• Maintains professional and empathetic interactions with consumers and secondary guests in line with patient experience standards.
• Welcomes the consumer and secondary guests to the center and gathers purpose and nature of the visit.
• Recognizes and notifies provider of emergent patients, performs BLS, provides oxygen, and assists with emergency care.
• Schedules primary care referrals for consumers.
• Maintains office and medical supplies at appropriate par levels as assigned.
• Performs quality checks throughout the facility per established policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
