Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Backend Developer

Overview

Software Engineer (Contract) role located in Glendale/Burbank, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite).

Duration: 12-month initial contract, possibility for extension. Pay Rate: $85-$90/HR.

• Deliver Software Solutions:
  Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-quality software solutions following best practices in coding standards, architecture, and system reliability.
• Platform Expertise:
  Utilize AWS tools and technologies to build and maintain robust applications.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  
  Partner with engineers, product owners, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions on time.
• Agile Development:
  Estimate and prioritize work within an agile scrum process.
• Continuous Learning:
  Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

• Strong experience developing REST APIs
• Proficiency in Spring Boot
• Expertise in Type Script
• Solid Java experience (Kotlin is a plus, but not required)

• Backend technologies:
  Node.js, Spring Boot
• Identity & Access Management (Keycloak)
• Database experience:
  Postgre
  
  SQL, DynamoDB
• Familiarity with AWS CDK, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, ArgoCD
• AWS certifications a plus
• Knowledge of web frontend technologies (React, HTML, CSS)

• Project 1:
  Type Script, Serverless, AWS CDK, Java, Keycloak, Postgre

• Project 2:
  Type Script, Koa.js, Postgre

• Multi-stage process including:
• Recruiter intro
• Leadership intro
• Non-technical screening
• Technical interviews (coding assessments on approved platforms)
• System design interviews

• Work Arrangement:
  Hybrid (4 days onsite in Glendale/Burbank)
• Contract Length: 12 months (no current plans for extension or conversion, but always a possibility)
