Job Summary:
Imprimis Group has partnered with a growing, dynamic healthcare organization in searching for experienced candidates for the position of RN-Emergency department – Night Shift. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contribute to nursing assessment and the development of a nursing care plan, and participate in the evaluation of nursing care. Responsibilities
- Supervises care given by nonprofessional staff and provides instruction as needed.
- Supports nursing care standards through adherence to existing policies and procedures for Medical Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, ICU Step-down, and the Emergency Room
- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured patients
- Documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient’s condition
- Collaborate with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes
- Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems
- Develops and maintains a professional relationship with members of the health care team, the patient and the patient’s family
- Obtains and documents nursing history from patients and/or significant others that is comprehensive of the present condition and prior problems. Performs basic assessment of patients, indicating adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Records vital signs note changes and pursue more-specific investigations as needed. Identifies abnormal diagnostic data and shows a fundamental understanding of its implications by reporting information to the physician and others caring for the patient, and by incorporating information in the nursing care plan.
- Uses assessment information to develop a care plan before the end of duty time that communicates enough information for incoming staff to adequately care for the patient. Reviews and develops care plans for assigned patients. Includes the patient and his or her family in planning care, establishing priorities, and setting goals.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of California
- Associate’s degree
- One year of RN experience in an Emergency Department setting
- National Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
- National Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) required
- National Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Two years of emergency room experience preferred
