Your New RoleThe Director, Social Strategy & Platform Innovation, leads strategic planning and execution for social and platform initiatives across assigned theatrical titles. In addition to the campaign work, this role serves as a global connector — guiding best practices and platform strategy across regional teams. Through quarterly international summits, the position leads efforts to unify Warner Bros.’ social voice worldwide by spotlighting wins, sharing insights, and aligning on key beats.
With deep knowledge of platform trends and campaign strategy, this role ensures Warner Bros. social marketing is bold, cohesive, and culturally relevant at every level.
- Lead global social strategy for assigned theatrical titles, managing tone, rollout, and performance across key campaign milestones.
- Drive platform innovation by identifying and executing new opportunities on emerging and established platforms such as Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts, Fortnite, and others.
- Plan and execute trailer launches and content debuts in platform-native, attention-grabbing ways that build cultural momentum.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders — Publicity, Creative, Media, and Global Brand Partnerships — to ensure full integration of social strategy into broader campaign plans.
- Coordinate with local markets to adapt global strategies to regional needs, ensuring cultural relevance and cohesive execution worldwide.
- Lead Warner Bros.’ quarterly international social and platform summits — driving agenda development, highlighting best-in-class campaign work, and aligning global teams around upcoming opportunities and learnings.
- Build strong relationships with platform partners to unlock co-marketing opportunities, editorial support, and early access to platform innovations.
- Champion inclusive storytelling through social creative, ensuring assets reflect and speak to diverse global audiences.
- Support the execution of high-volume social “flooding” strategies across platforms during key moments to amplify reach and conversation.
- Monitor campaign performance and platform trends in real time, reporting insights and recommendations to filmmakers and internal leadership.
- Contribute to department-wide innovation, helping define how Warner Bros. evolves its approach to global theatrical social marketing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7-10 years' experience in Digital Marketing (preferably entertainment based)
- International digital marketing experience preferred.
- Experience in entertainment preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to present and explain technical and business information clearly.
- Ability to manage internal and external digital development efforts from inception to successful completion.
- Demonstrated ability to build, execute, and scale digital marketing campaigns
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Docs
- Motivation and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.
- Understanding of global and international mobile platforms and applications (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Weibo, Line, Snap).
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting social listening and digital analytics.
- Strong interest in social media, TV/Films/Animation, and pop culture.
- Additional languages a plus
