Sterile Processing Tech - Evenings

Overview

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts.

Under supervision this position is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam (autoclave), H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers; store, date, rotate and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation.

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• 1 year of experience, or Graduate from a central service program.

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other factors. Base pay range may include additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
