* Job Summary:

** The Manufacturing Engineer II performs independent assignments to develop and recommend improvements in the Manufacturing system and in product manufacturability and cost effectiveness.  Investigate, recommend, and implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement programs Identify root cause and corrective actions for manufacturing problems

Develop manufacturing operating instructions Develop and track manufacturing metrics to monitor the health of processes Identify and prioritize work with limited input from manager

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* Experience:

2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer  Knowledge:
Practical application knowledge of the theories of modern production principles and methods as applied to a high technology electronics design and manufacturing operation;
Basic knowledge of material characteristics and processing, chemicals;
Basic concepts of electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluids, and heat transfer Skills/Abilities:
Able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization

Education/Certification:

BA or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field

* Preferred Qualifications:

** Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
