Systems Engineer, Telecoms Engineering
ADRF (Advanced RF Technologies, Inc.) is the leading provider of in-building wireless solutions that ensure seamless connectivity in commercial and public structures. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior RF Systems Engineer to lead the architecture and development of our next generation 5G DAS (Distributed Antenna System) and Repeater solution. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Korean and English and bridge the gap between RF hardware and digital processing, utilizing deep knowledge of 3
GPP standards and System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies. You will play a critical role in designing high-performance wireless systems that meet the stringent requirements of modern 5G networks, including O-RAN architectures.
- System Architecture Design: Define and design the overall system architecture for 5G DAS and Repeaters, including RF chain planning, Link Budget analysis, and Cascade analysis (Gain, NF, IP3).
- RF & Digital Integration: Lead the integration of RF front-end modules with digital processing units, focusing on AMD (Xilinx) MPSoC and RFSoC platforms.
- Simulation & Modeling: Perform system-level simulations using tools like ADS, MATLAB, or System Vue to validate design concepts before prototyping.
- 3
GPP Compliance: Ensure all designs meet 3
GPP LTE/5G , specifically regarding EVM, ACLR, and spectrum emission masks. - System Verification: Define test plans and conduct system verification using high-end RF instruments (Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators).
- DFE Optimization: Collaborate with the FW/SW team to optimize Digital Front End (DFE) algorithms, including DPD (Digital Pre-Distortion) and CFR (Crest Factor Reduction).
- Education:
Master’s degree (M.S.) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in RF system design and development for wireless infrastructure.
- RF Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of RF transceiver architectures (RF Direct, Zero-IF, Super‑Heterodyne) and passive/active components.
- Simulation
Skills:
Proficiency in RF/System simulation tools (Keysight ADS, System Vue, MATLAB Simulink). - Standards: Expert knowledge of 3
GPP specifications (LTE, 5G /FR2). - Instrumentation: Expert proficiency in operating RF test equipment (Keysight/Rohde & Schwarz) for system characterization.
- Advanced SoC
Experience:
Hands‑on experience with AMD Xilinx Zynq Ultra Scale+ MPSoC or RFSoC devices. - DFE Expertise: Proven track record in implementing or verifying Digital Front End (DFE) technologies (DPD, CFR) on RFSoC platforms.
- O-RAN Knowledge: Experience in O-RAN (Open RAN) system development, specifically familiarity with Split 7.2x architecture and eCPRI interfaces.
- mmWave
Experience:
Experience with millimeter-wave (mmWave) system design and beamforming technologies.
