Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Supervisor manages the procurement process for the company, ensuring that tooling, raw materials, and MRO items (goods and services) are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This role also oversees the Outside Processing Buyer in their day to day responsibilities.
Tasks involved with this role include reporting OTD for suppliers, managing purchase orders within the ERP system, monitoring inventory levels in order to mitigate stockouts, requesting expedited services when necessary to meet customer expectations, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. This role is also expected to help identify potential cost savings, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:- Tooling Inventory Management: Overseeing the inventory of tooling including purchasing, tracking and receipt of new tooling as needed.
- Procurement Management: Overseeing the entire purchasing process, from identifying needs, to collecting and comparing bids (costs), to placing orders, to tracking and receiving.
- Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible costs.
- Purchase Order Management: Creating and processing purchase orders through our ERP system, tracking their status, and resolving any issues.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, placing orders to replenish stock, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Cost Analysis and Optimization: Identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and related documentation.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Collaboration:
Working closely with internal departments and suppliers to understand needs, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations. Responding to customer and supplier inquiries in a timely manner regarding order status, changes, or cancellations. Working with suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, or other issues related to timely receipts. - Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
Required:
- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Purchasing experience - Negotiation
Skills:
The ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers. - Analytical

The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed purchasing decisions. - Communication
Skills:
The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Organizational

The ability to identify and resolve issues related to procurement, delivery, or supplier performance. - Knowledge of Procurement Processes: Understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, contracting, and payment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems
Preferred:
- Supervisory experience
- Familiarity with Google Office Suite
- Familiarity at the intermediate level or above with Excel
- Purchasing experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace
