Responsibilities
Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.Offer product samples to customers to promote new items or inquire about products.Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions, preventing shrinkage.Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients based on recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.Properly use kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.Understand store layout and locate products for customers.Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.Foster trust and respect among team members.Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making them feel valued.Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.Report any customer or employee accidents to management.Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications

- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to obtain a food handlers permit upon employment
