Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' ability to perform daily living and work activities, as prescribed by a referring physician. This role involves establishing patient‑centered treatment goals, reassessing progress regularly, and maintaining thorough documentation.

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to determine patients' needs and document findings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and effective interventions.
- Provide safe and effective treatment interventions, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and patient education.
- Regularly reassess patient progress, update treatment plans, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate competency in administering treatment to diverse patient populations and adjusting techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment and proper use of therapeutic equipment.
- Mentor and orient new staff members and OT students.
- Ensure accurate billing documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- 1‑3 years of clinical experience as an OT required.
- Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation facility preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OT principles and evidence-based interventions.
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans.
- Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to mentor and train staff and students.
- Commitment to patient privacy and ethical standards.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- State‑registered OT license required.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
