General

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the operation of the production department. The duties of this position are those described below.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for coordinating all efforts of subordinate supervisory staff.

* Follow and direct GMP's and Safety standards at all times.

* Follow and direct company regulations.

* Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

* Must possess some computer skills.

* Must possess sufficient management skill / experience.

* Must be able to effectively communicate in Spanish and English (verbal and written).

* Responsible for generating production reports as required

* Assures that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures as well as regulatory agency procedures.

* Assures that all department personnel are informed of any departmental procedural changes as necessary.

* Attends staff meeting as required.

* Coordinates the activities of the maintenance department and assures that the equipment is running adequately.

* Monitors department to maintain a safe work environment for the department.

* Assures all shifts are provided adequate training.

* Conduct meetings with Supervisors as well as conducting departmental meetings regarding procedures.

* Teach and train personnel as required.

Education:

* College degree (desired)

Experience:

* Technical experience in processing or packaging of products.
