Wood Moulder Operator About the Role

Operate and maintain industrial wood moulders to produce high‑quality profiles and components. This position requires strong mechanical skill, precision, and the ability to work safely in a production environment.

• Set up and operate multi‑head moulders for profiles, trim, and custom components
• Read work orders and drawings to determine machine settings and tooling
• Install and adjust cutter heads, knives, guides, and feed speeds
• Inspect lumber and verify finished dimensions with measuring tools
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments for quality and throughput
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance
• Safely handle cutting tools and coordinate knife sharpening
• Maintain production and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements

• Experience operating wood moulders;
  SCM and Leadermac experience strongly preferred
• Understanding of wood species and machining characteristics
• Ability to read technical drawings and measure to tight tolerances
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Familiarity with knife setup and cutterhead safety
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Millwork, cabinetry, flooring, or lumber manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of dust collection and shop safety standards
• Knife grinding or profile knife setup experience
• Forklift certification

Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery. PPE required. Overtime or Saturday shifts may be needed based on production demand.
