Job Summary
Maintenance Techs supports the operational effectiveness of a 24‑Hour production department by responding to breakdown calls, troubleshooting, analyzing and repairing industrial equipment throughout the facility. The ideal tech will have determination to not just fix the breakdown, glitch, or malfunction but maintain a focus to determine the root cause, then determine corrective action necessary to minimize downtime, increase productivity, and maintain continuity of operations.
Techs should continuously promote safety by understanding and complying with all established safety policies and procedures.
- Work safely – Use LOTO and wear appropriate PPE as required for the job/task.
- Possesses ability to complete preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs of all manufacturing equipment, including fabrication and mechanical scope of repairs.
- Demonstrates ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints for working systems, to dismantle, repair, and re‑assemble gear boxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, drives and all mechanical equipment.
- Is knowledgeable in responding to breakdown trouble calls and bringing machines to their proper running state, including troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing problems.
- Demonstrates ability to provide limited electrical support: 208/480V devices including but not limited to motor starters, VFDs, PLCs, pumps, conveyor motors, transformers, etc.
- Utilizes CMMS for work orders, PMs and parts.
- Meets priorities and targets per work shift.
- Plays an active role in working alongside contractor/vendors when needed.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Dedicated employee with positive attitude.
- Common knowledge of equipment and line operation.
- Able to follow directions and have accountability for completing tasks.
- The following capabilities are a plus: operate a forklift, operate a Rico.
- 2‑Year degree in Maintenance Technology preferred.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to interpret MEPS schematics and diagrams.
- PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Pneumatics experience.
- Hydraulics experience.
- Troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
- Power industrial vehicle experience.
- Troubleshooting CNC machines.
- IT infrastructure hardware experience.
- SCADA experience is a plus.
